Background

Digital Bridge took over management of the original Aquasure website in 2010, adding in a content management system to allow Aquasure staff to update the site themselves, an important part of keeping the wider community updated on progress of the construction of the desalination plant.

After construction of the plant wrapped up towards the end of the 2012, the plant moved into its operations and maintenance phase. Aquasure approached us shortly afterwards to update and upgrade their website to reflect this significant new period in the project's history.

Aquasure-approach

Approach

A key aim of the project was to update the visual aesthetic of the site to make it more friendly, more usable and optimised for visitors on mobile devices.

The entire sitemap was rearranged to place importance on the operations phase, while still giving prominence to important information relevant to the local community.

Aquasure-result

Result

Over the course of three months, we worked with Aquasure's communications team to rework their content, design the brand new site and develop the responsive templates to enhance the experience for visitors on all devices.

For information on the plant itself, we transformed some of Aquasure's printed material into interactive diagrams to better present the content to visitors. Users can explore a map of the site and take a virtual tour of the plant's key buildings.
