Miss Gertrude is located near the Digital Bridge office in Fitzroy, Melbourne. We were thrilled when they reached out to us to redesign their hair salon website. One of the benefit of collaborating with other businesses in the area is how easy it is to meet in person for their web project reviews. It also builds a sense of community. This was going to be a fun project.

Miss Gertrude were looking for a new website design that reflected the warm and welcoming aesthetic of the salon. The main aim would be communicate the capabilities and skills of the stylists and integrate smoothly with their existing booking system.
Unlike similar websites in the hair industry, Miss Gertrude opted for a move away from the clutter of offerings, 'loud' clashing images and messages. They wanted a serene, relaxing yet modern feel, like their in-house salon experience.
A fun photo shoot was organised to create consistent bio shots of the staff for the new site.
The new Miss Gertrude hair salon website has an engaging user interface with soft, warm tones and streamlined navigation. Services, Pricing and Open Hours information are easy to access, and making a booking couldn't be simpler.
